Biography:
Oscar Fresnedo received the Computer Engineering and the PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of A Coruña, Spain, in 2007 and 2014,
respectively. Since 2007 he is with the Group of Electronic Technology and
Communications (GTEC) in the Department of Computer Engineering at
the University of A Coruña, where he had the benefit of a FPI scholarship
granted by the Spanish Government from 2008 to 2012. His main research interests are in the design of coding schemes, analog JSCC techniques, MIMO
systems and multiuser communications. He has published four papers in
international technical journals as well as more than 10 papers in relevant international
conferences and workshops in the area of communications and signal processing. Most of these papers as well as his PhD. dissertation have been the
result of novel research in the design of efficient analog JSCC systems for
wireless communications. He has participated as a research member in more
than 10 research projects and contracts granted by regional and national
administrations. Dr. Oscar Fresnedo has also received the Best Student Paper Award at the 14th IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing
Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), Darmstadt, 2013.
